Cheap broadband

Home > Examining the latest monthly charges The page will examine the lowest monthly charges available for broadband in the UK. There are packages which actually cost nothing, o2, BT and Sky for example. But, to suggest broadband is free is misleading, it comes packaged with a phone or television package, which will cost more than it would without the broadband. Therefore I will examine only those broadband deals which are not packaged with another product. To date £4.99 seems the lowest monthly charge available for broadband. There maybe cheaper packages, give or take a few pounds, but generally speaking the major broadband supplier do not have packages cheaper than £4.99. Therefore provided below is a list of broadband supplier currently (August 09) supplying monthly access at around £4.99 to £6.50.
Apart from Virgin, the obvious downside to these cheap packages is the download limit. Talk Talk has the highest, but is £6.49, in comparison to £4.99 for Aol. Now if your a light weight user of the Internet, then this will not pose a problem. But if you download music or video from the Internet, these packages could become very restrictive. The Virgin deal of unlimited downloads looks astounding value for money on the face of it. The only question is whether they really do provide unlimited downloads, or whether your service will be quickly throttled if you trespass on their fair usage policy. When it comes to unlimited downloads and cheap packages, most providers
will offer a deal no lower than £14.99. Plusnet, Orange, Tiscali,
Aol, BT, they all charge in the region of £14.99. Sky do provide
a good deal at around £10.00, but you are required to purchase a
television package as well. Privacy PolicyThe information contained within this site is general in nature, and may not be applicable to all Unlimited Broadband. We can also not guarantee the accuracy of the information. |
